End of Vacation

We went to church this morning. It has been four weeks since we were there last! Afterwards was our annual church picnic at the park next door, but up a steep hill. They had the church bus going to bus people there. The kids were excited about riding it! Haha When we were ready to go, though, the driver wasn't there, so Brian climbed down the steep hill and got the van to pick up the rest of us. We at BBQd tritip meals, and hotdogs for the kids. There were two bounce houses, where they spent most of their play time.

Well, today is the end of our summer vacation, and here are the last of our vacation pictures. Last Sunday, on our drive home, we stopped at the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield. It was right on our way. First we ate lunch in their cafe. The kids meals came with jelly bean shaped hamburgers and buns, and smiley face fries. I thought they were cute. Since it was Sunday no one was working in the factory. We did get a tour and saw how the candy was made, on video monitors. We all got free small bags of Jelly Belly beans. Then we each chose a bag of candy from their gift shop. Julia and Austin like choosing different flavors and different candies to add to their bags!

Picture-taking is not allowed inside the factory. Here they are, with their Jelly Belly hats and Lauren with her bags of beans.

She has her bag of beans in every picture! She did not want to let me have them when it was time to get in the car. She also didn't want me to give her just a few now and then when the other kids got beans from their bags. She wanted them!
