Our little Caro Bear....LOL

She's trying soooo hard to lift that big ol' head! She is stronger than Julia and Lauren at this age, but not Austin. For months, J and L hated being on their tummies!

Me and my baby :) and the weekly snapshot in the bouncy seat.

Notes about Caroline at 4 weeks, and being not such a newborn: (for her scrapbook one day ;) )
*Her newborn hair is breaking off in the back (from sleeping on her back and turning her head side to side)
*Her eyebrows were white, almost translucent, fuzz at birth; they are getting darker and thicker
*Her eyelashes were almost nonexistant at birth; they are growing--about an 1/8" and dark and curling.
*Excellent sleeper! At night sleeps 6 hour stretches consistently.
*Excellent napper! Sleeps about 5 hours straight during the day, plus a few short naps. I wake her once during the long nap, but she almost just nurses in her sleep, and just goes right back to sleep.
*Does like to be put to sleep, by nursing, rocking, vibrating in the bouncy seat...
*Has really bad (or so it seems to us by her loud crying!) tummy aches sometimes, and cries and cries until the bubbles pass (one end or the other, ha ha).
*Just starting to smile at us
*Likes visiting with us in the mornings and late afternoons after her long sleeps.
*More alert every day, and really starting to fix her eyes on us when we talk to her.
*Absolutely fascinated with her big sisters and brother! She turns her head when she hears one of their voices, and stares and stares at them when they talk to her.
*Nurses at least 7 times a day. I make sure she has at least 7 feedings, sometimes it is more.
*Wakes herself to nurse, most of the time now. The last few days I've only had to wake her once or twice to feed her.
*Likes her bouncy seat, does not like the swing so far
Wednesday the big kids and I made salt candles. Julia found the craft in her Clubhouse Jr. magazine and wanted to make them. They all chose colors for the salt in their candles, and squished it together with food coloring in Ziploc bags. We were disappointed the red didn't work to make pink, just kind of a pale peach. And the blue + red didn't work either, to make purple, just a yucky brown color. I eventually remembered I had some purple paste food coloring, and that worked better. Julia wanted to light the candles that night at supper, so we enjoyed a candlelight dinner. :)

Austin called me into his room Weds. night before bed to see his tall, tall tower. He said it was the tallest tower he'd ever made! Seconds after this picture, it all collapsed. :( Julia said he'd built a model skyscraper.

He reminds me of Andrew standing on that overturned box to get a higher skyscraper. Love Julia's candles. Tell her your friend from TN said 'very pretty and great job!' So lucky or should I say blessed that Caroline is sleeping so much at night. Sweet photo of her on her belly and leaning on her arm. I didn't get to see Lauren in this post. ;)
