After church there was a short business meeting. We rushed home, ate lunch, and quickly changed clothes (half of us). Then went back up to Arroyo Grande to the park near our church for a birthday party at 2 pm. Our friend Ryle was having a surprise 40th birthday party. It was warm and sunny at the park.
Swinging sisters
Julia was being such a good sister, pushing Lauren for a long time in the swing. I hardly saw Austin at the party. They had a family (mostly dads and kids) soccer game going, and as soon as he could, he was off to the game! He barely ate two bites of frosting off his cupcake, then back to soccer he went. Brian played too. The girls there that were Julia's age were playing soccer, too, and one was riding around on her scooter. Julia doesn't care at all to play soccer, so she played on the playground with Lauren.
Caroline just lounged in the swing for awhile. She stuck her feet up like that on her own. Silly baby! The other parents at the playground got such a kick out of her sitting like that. She was pretty tired. Austin was tired too, and hot, after all that running after the soccer ball in the hot sun. He drank three cups of red juice, Kool-Aid or fruit punch or something. Check out that mustache. 
Back at home all the kids had a bath to wash off all that sunscreen, sand and sweat. :D
